Doing What We Love with Passion

God’s Support Orphanage Ministry of Uganda envisions a world where vulnerable children, afflicted not only by poverty but also by other social, political, and natural calamities, have a chance for a brighter future. We contribute to global efforts championing children’s fundamental rights, with the family unit as our key point of engagement.

Research supports our belief that children thrive best within a family environment rather than institutional settings. Consequently, our ministry supports fostering initiatives for children who lose their biological parents, confident that sustainable options within the community will allow these children to experience comprehensive development.

While many organizations and governmental bodies focus on child sponsorship, there has been insufficient consultation with program beneficiaries about how to solve community and family problems that cause child poverty. Approaches solely targeting children, without the involvement of their families, typically yield poor long-term outcomes.

We seek to change this narrative by promoting consensus-building methods designed to foster local participation, ownership, and collective problem-solving, thereby enhancing program outcomes. Our focus remains steadfast on the child as our beneficiary and the family as the critical institution for a child’s development.

Mission

At God’s Support Orphanage Ministry of Uganda, our mission is to cultivate an environment that fosters the growth of our children into well-educated, healthy, and socially conscious individuals. We aim to empower orphans and vulnerable children, providing them with the necessary tools to become responsible and proactive citizens.

Our focus extends beyond merely meeting their basic needs; we strive to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere that fuels their potential and dreams. We are committed to providing quality education, ensuring good health, and nurturing the development of upright morals and values.

Vision

Our vision is of a future society where no child is left behind, a world where every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive. We envisage a future where the circumstances of one’s birth do not dictate their life’s trajectory, and children from all backgrounds share equal prospects.

We see a world where compassion bridges the gap between poverty and prosperity, where the children we nurture today become the empathetic and inclusive leaders of tomorrow. Our dream is to witness these children transcending their difficult beginnings, empowered with education, health, and moral values, to create a harmonious society.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
